Rick Snell is a guitarist and singer based in Brooklyn, NY.   He is the founder and host of the Mona’s Monday Night Bluegrass Session, a weekly showcase of some of the best American roots music in the New York area since 2011.  He has shared the stage with Slash, Regina Spektor, Billy Strings, Anaïs Mitchell, Adam Green (Moldy Peaches), Benmont Tench (Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers), Rachel Zegler, Ed Helms, Will Ferrell, and Dominic Chianese, Andy Statman, and Michael Cleveland. Broadway orchestra credits include Wicked, Oklahoma!, The Outsiders, The Last Boys, Water For Elephants, Mamma Mia, Aladdin, and Ragtime. The music he recorded for GEICO’s “Better Than” Ad campaign debuted on the Super Bowl and ran for several years.  He is a regular session guitarist and has performed at venues like The Beacon Theatre, Town Hall, Lincoln center, 54 Below, The Greek, The Fox, Kennedy Center, and The United Nations, to name a few.
